Things I've noticed recently:

You can't always get what you want. (Very true, also a great song, check it out. It's by The Rolling Stones.)
You should always try and be the best person you can be. Sometimes it's going to be difficult, but it is worth it.
Listen when someone talks, and really listen too, stop just thinking of how you're going to respond.
Never spend your time trying to prove to anybody that you're great, your actions will speak for themselves and we only have a limited time on this earth, don't waste it.
Like moths, good people are attracted to flame and light, and they will come around.
You apparently can't have too many handbags.
Never be afraid to be too cheesy. Make the extra pun.
